My passions

Welcome! I’m so glad you stopped by. Here’s a little bit about me and my heart for serving you:

I’m a Bible writer, teacher, and event speaker in the Pacific Northwest. I was an unlikely convert who came to saving faith in Jesus in my late teens and I’ve been obsessed with him, his word, and his work ever since. Check out my story below to hear how God radically intervened into my life and transformed me through the power of the gospel. To this day, I’m amazed by his love and mercy.

My heart is and always will be to encourage and equip people to trust and follow Jesus in every area of their lives. I do that by teaching and writing about Bible and theology in creative, accessible ways. I know the Bible can seem pretty intimidating but I believe all people can read, understand, and apply the Scriptures in life changing ways. Sometimes we just need a little help.

My family

I’m married to Neal Woollard, a gifted worship pastor & elder who models an undying commitment to Jesus and his church. We believe the church is at the center of God's redemptive purposes for his world, so we plan to serve the local and global church side by side for the rest of our lives.

We currently live in the weird, wonderful city of Portland, Oregon where we call Hinson Baptist Church home. Besides our love for our church family and community, we enjoy the foodie scene, amazing coffee, and the best ever people-watching that Portland provides. I’m also an avid coffee drinker, reader, Netflix binger, and Seahawks fan (not always in that order).
